Term 1 Gymnastics Newsletter 2021

Welcome back to the first term of the year, and a special welcome to students and families who have recently joined the LFK Dance & Gym community. We hope you are settling into the year well. With such an exciting and busy year ahead please read the information below to stay up to date with upcoming events and important details. Additionally please follow us on all of our social media platforms as we regularly post information and host lots of fun events that we want you to be apart of!

Important Dates

Monday 9th March - We are open for normal classes on Labour Day

Wednesday 16th- Rehearsal for Mid Year Dance concert

Thursday 17th and Friday 18th of June- Mid-year LFK Dance Concert @ The Clock tower Moonee Ponds

Sunday 18th of July- Internal LFK Gymnastics Competition

2021 Gymnastic's Captains

We would like to introduce and welcome our two 2021 Gymnastics Captains, Olivia King and Finley Brigg's. They have been elected to help facilitate the Gym faculty at LFK and will act as the middle ground between LFK students and staff.They are excellent role models and gymnast's of our ALP program who have and will continue to set out a great exmaple for our younger students. Congratulations girls, a fantastic achievement.

Fees

Fees for Term 1 are now due. Fees can be paid over the phone by credit card or direct debit if you do not have the chance to come to reception between Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm & Saturday 9am to 1pm

Absences and Make up classes

Please call LFK if your child cannot make their training session. If you would like to book a make-up class, you will need to book it in with reception prior. You are welcome to a maximum of two make-up classes within the term, but they must be booked in advance and they cannot be carried over to the following term.

LFK Uniform

Our Gymnastics leotards are on sale for a short time, long sleeve's are reduced from $80 to $60 and Short Sleeve's reduced from $70 to $50. Additionally Acro uniforms are available for purchase. Any questions about uniforms please ask reception or have a look on our website at the full uniform lists including pictures and pricing.

Private Lessons

LFK offers one on one private sessions upon organisation. Private lessons are $30 for 30 minutes or $45 for 45 minutes or $60 for an hour. You can book two children in with one coach for altered prices. Please organize this with reception so we can find an available coach. This is a great gift for any occasion.

Class Drop Off and Pick-ups

Please ensure to pick-up and drop off safely and remind your children to remain inside the LFK building while waiting to be picked up especially after 7:30pm at night. For 4pm, 5pm and 6pm classes, students are to be dropped at the front to enter through the orange door and picked up from the back door. Reception will lock the front door at 7:15pm every night for safety precaution so please ensure you are using the back door for entry and exit during these times. Please see reception for the code.

LFK Internal Gymnastics Competition

We are very excited to announce that LFK will be able to host our annual mid-year Internal Competition on the 8th of July for Levels 1 through to 6.Students will be practicing their routines with their coaches on a weekly basis in preparation for the competition. In the coming weeks we will also post the 2021 Routines to our website along with the music for your children to practice at home.
