Term 1 2020 Gymnastics Newsletter

Welcome back to the first term of the year, and a special welcome to students and families who have recently joined the LFK Dance & Gym community. We hope you are settling into the year well. With such an exciting and busy year ahead please read the information below to stay up to date with upcoming events and important details. Please follow us on all of our social media platforms as we regularly post information and host lots of fun events that we want you to be apart of!

Important Dates:

Sunday 8th March - LFK's performance with Katy Perry at the MCG for the World Cup Cricket Final ICC

Monday 9th March - We are open for normal classes on Labour Day

Sunday 15th March - AFLW Performance at Whitten Oval 1.10pm

Friday 27th March - LFK in NYC dancers depart for Orlando & New York

Friday 27th March - AFLW Performance at Whitten Oval 5.45pm

Tuesday 7th April - LFK dancers helping represent The Melbourne Vixens at Fan Day @ Federation Square

Sunday 21st of June- Internal Gym Competition

Fees

Fees for Term 1 are now due. Fees can be paid over the phone by credit card or direct debit if you do not have the chance to come to reception between: Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm & Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Absences and Makeups

Please call LFK if your child cannot make their training session. If you would like to book a make-up class, you will need to book it in with reception. You are more than welcome to a maximum of two make-up classes within the term, but they must be booked in advance and they cannot be carried over to the following term.

Uniforms

LFK have gymnastics leotards and acro uniforms available for purchase in the foyer. Any questions about uniforms please ask reception or have a look on our website at the full uniform lists including pictures and pricing.

Private Lessons

LFK offers one on one private sessions upon organisation. Private lessons are $30 for 30 minutes or $45 for 45 minutes or $60 for an hour. You can book two children in with one coach for altered prices. Please organize this with reception so we can find an available coach. This is a great gift for any occasion.

After Class Pick-ups

Please remind your children to remain inside the LFK building while waiting to be picked up, especially after 7pm when reception is closed. Additionally reception will lock the front door at 7pm every night for safety precautions so please ensure you are using the back door for entry and exit. Please see reception for the code.

Coaching Staff

We would like to welcome back Alex Lambrianou to LFK. Alex will be our new ALP Co-ordinator and will also be teaching gymnastics and working on reception. We would also like to welcome Shashwat Patel to our coaching staff.

LFK Dancers in NYC

On the 27th of March, 20 LFK dancers and their families will be taking a trip of a lifetime to New York and Orlando, Florida! They have been working very hard with Michelle Knezevic on their 22 minute routine. They will be performing this awesome routine at Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, as well as taking part in dance workshops at these parks with industry professionals! They will also be taking part in an amazing photo shoot with the one and only Jordan Matter in Times Square! This is the opportunity with a lifetime, as Jordan has worked with famous dancers from all over the world! Our dancers will also be doing workshops at Alvin Ailey and The Broadway Dance Centre as well as seeing ‘The Lion King’ on Broadway.
