Term 1 2019 Gym Newsletter

Welcome back to Term 1, 2019! We hope that you all had a fantastic break ready for another year of gymnastics at LFK!

Some important dates:

Term 1 Dates: Monday 4thFebruary – Saturday 6th April

Monday 11th March: We are OPEN on Labour Day holiday

Sunday 4th of August: LFK Internal Gymnastics Competition

Fees

Fees for Term 1 are now due. Invoices have been given out in class to those whose fees have not yet been paid. Fees can be paid over the phone by credit card or direct debit if you do not have a chance to come to reception between 9-7pm Monday to Friday.

Absences and make up classes:

It is important that you call LFK reception to notify us if your child will be absent from class, this way we can let coaches know. Each term you are entitled to 2 makeup lessons per term (within the term), these must be pre-booked with reception so we can allocate an available class to you.

Private lessons:

Private lessons are a great way for your child to build upon their skills. Classes are $30 for 30 minutes or $45 for 45 minutes or $60 for an hour. You can book two children in with one coach for altered prices. Private lessons are a great idea for a birthday gift from family or friends. If you are interested in private lessons, please see reception to book in.

LFK Uniform

LFK uniform lists have been posted in the foyer. If you have not yet purchased your gymnastics or acro uniform, please do so at your convenience. Please ensure that all students come to class with their hair tied back, and with a water bottle each week.

Gym Routines:

For those students wanting to practice the routines at home, we have a copy of all routines for all levels on our website alongside the music required for level 2 onwards.

GYM CAPTAINS 2018

We would like to introduce and welcome our two LFK Gymnastics Captains for 2019.

Piper Cheswick and Zahra Dib have been selected to help encourage and inspire all of our LFK gymnasts. Piper and Zahra are ALP Gymnasts who train at LFK for 10 hours per week and are now studying to become gymnastics assistant coaches. They are excellent role models and gymnasts for all of the younger gymnastics students within the club. Congratulations girls and well deserved!
