SENIOR CONCERT

As another term at LFK comes to a close we have some more important details regarding our end of year concert and rehearsal information. If you have any questions regarding the concert please speak to your child’s teacher or to LFK reception, we are open from 9.00am -7.00pm Monday to Friday.

Important Dates

Sunday 11th November– Program Photo Day & Junior ConcertFinale Rehearsal, from 3.30pm onwards

Sunday 25th November– Whole School Finale Rehearsal at LFK 4.30-5.30 (Senior concert only)

Friday 30th November– Concert Full Dress Rehearsal @ Xavier College

Saturday 1st December-Junior and Senior Concerts @ Xavier College

Sunday 2ndDecember– LFK Party Picnic in the Park in Williamstown

Fees

The fees for Term 3 are now overdue. As per the new financial year, any outstanding fees from previous Terms will receive a 10% late charge. Costume Invoices will be distributed for each class in Term 4, these in addition to term fees can be paid over the phone by credit card or via direct debit if you cannot come into the centre between 9am and 7pm and pay. Please note, that costumes can onlybe given to children when fees are completely up to date.

Costumes

Throughout the coming weeks students will be sized for their finale t-shirts. Please note that for the finale in the Senior Concert, all students are required to wear the 2018 concert t-shirt, tan jazz shoes and LFK Dance bike shorts – please ensure your bike shorts are in premium conditions. Jazz shoes can be purchased from Dancewear Nation, and Jazz Shorts can be purchased from LFK reception for $25, the Concert t-shirt and bow bundle will be ordered for $40 per child. Class costumes will arrive in Term 4 and can be collected on photo day if all costume and term fees have been paid in full.

Concert Tickets

All concert tickets can be purchased online through Trybookings. Tickets will be on sale from 9am on Friday, November 2nd. Pricing for tickets for the Senior Concert are as follows, Adult: $39

Child/ Concession $29. Pricing for Junior Concert tickets are all a flat rate per seat of $28.

All children from 18 months are required to purchase a seat as per the requirements from Xavier College.

Photo Day

What is Photo Day? We schedule a day each year where each class comes in to have a photo taken for the end of year program. Students will receive their 2018 t-shirts and if all fees and costumes are paid in full, students can collect their costumes to take home. Photo day is on Sunday, November 11thfrom 3.30 – class photo times will be distributed closer to the date. Allstudents are required to attend photo day, as this is the only chance to be photographed for the Elements 2018 Program. We will also have a Junior Concert Finale Rehearsal on Photo Day, to give the students an opportunity to practice their lines and the dance for the finale. This rehearsal includes, all Kinder Dance classes 10.30am, prep jazz, tap beginners, grade 1jazz and boys junior hip hop at 10 am Saturday.

Bus and Snack Pack Bookings

To try and help make the dress rehearsal evening as easy as possible for you, we will be running a one-way mini-bus from LFK to Xavier College on the Friday afternoon departing LFK at 3.30pm sharp. Bookings are essential and students will be fully supervised by LFK staff. There are only 42 spots on the bus, please book in soon to avoid disappointment. We are also offering ‘Snack Packs’ which will be at Xavier College for pick up Friday evening. Snack Packs include; a piece of fruit, water, Mini Pretzels and Grainwaves and are $10 per child. They must be pre-ordered at least a week before.

Backstage Roster

Next term you will see the backstage roster for volunteer parental supervision throughout the shows for both senior concerts and the dress rehearsal. Please put your name down in an open space on the roster if you are able to help out! We really appreciate your support in helping the concert run as smoothly and safely as possible while the students are enjoying themselves. We do require all volunteer parents to have a valid Working with Children Check, which can be done online. Please note that we only require parent volunteers for the senior concerts, all backstage helpers for the junior concert will be LFK staff. It is greatly appreciated to have any nurses or medically trained parents backstage. Any nurses please put NURSE under your name on the roster.

Party in the Park

Due to the LFK concert being held all on one day this year, we thought it was a great idea to host a Party and barbeque in celebration of the fantastic work all of the kids have put in to the 2018 concert! The Party will be held on Sunday the 2ndof December, times and more details will follow soon!

House Keeping

Please keep absences to an absolute minimum throughout the remainder of Term 3 and Term 4. Teachers find it very difficult to move forward with routines when students are not in attendance. If your child cannot attend class, please call to notify reception of the absence.

Please keep an eye out for information posted within the foyer, as all important information will be posted there for parents to see.

Term 4

In Term 4, arrival times for each concert will be distributed to the students performing in each concert, as well as Costume Checklists. Please see LFK reception with any food allergies or medical information relevant to your child, so we can ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students throughout the concert.

The 2018 Concert will be held at Xavier College in Kew, the street address is: Xavier College Senior Campus, 135 Barkers Road Kew.
